Thank you for considering Little Palm Island Resort & Spa for your destination wedding. We are looking forward
to having you with us for your special day. Our wedding coordinator is here to assist in every step of your planning,
offering expert information and advice. This easy to follow Personal Wedding Planner has been prepared to ensure
your wedding is exactly what you want it to be. We recommend that you select a wedding date at least three months
in advance so that we can confirm the specific date of your choice.

Little Palm Island has offers a choice of pre-set wedding packages. To make it simple for you, we suggest that you
select the package that best suits your needs, and leave the details to us. However, if you do not see a package that
meets with your requirements, we are able to customize a wedding package by adding extras to our Purely Paradise
Wedding. Please keep in mind that our wedding packages are subject to 7.5-percent tax and 10-percent service.
Purely Paradise Wedding - Your lifetime of joy and happiness begins on our beautiful, tropical Island. Our
Official will perform your ceremony at the Island location of your choice. As with all of our wedding packages, your
ceremony includes an "exclusivity guarantee" prohibiting any other weddings from taking place at the property on
your special day. $1,500
The Swaying Palm Package - A professional photographer will record your private ceremony conducted by our
Island Official at the romantic Island location of your choice. (Photography Package #1 is included in this package,
please see Photography Section.) The package also includes a lovely bouquet and boutonniere for the Bride and
Groom. Following the ceremony, the celebration continues with a chilled bottle of Moet & Chandon White Star
Champagne, a wedding cake for two in the flavor of your choice and a pair of Little Palm Island engraved
champagne flutes etched with your names and wedding date. $3,000
The Enchanted Isle Package - Your intimate ceremony, held in the Island location of your choice, includes one
hour of professional photography and videography services. (Photography Package #1 and Videography Package #1
are included in this package, please see Photography Section.) A bouquet and boutonniere for the Bride and Groom
are included. Following your personalized wedding ceremony, your celebration will continue with a wedding cake
for two in the flavor of your choice. $3,900
Custom Packages - We will be happy to create a unique package especially for you. Contact our wedding
coordinator with your wedding fantasy and allow us to make it a reality. We will assist and guide you in every
detail in the planning of your dream celebration.
Wedding Locations
Little Palm Island Resort & Spa is an exquisite tropical Island offering a selection of beautiful sites for your
wedding ceremony. The most popular locations are listed below.
Front Beach - What could be more romantic than standing at the water's edge, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean
while you exchange your personalized vows? Our white sand beach is located on the western end of the Island
making it perfect for sunset ceremonies. Whether it is an intimate gathering for two or a larger celebration, our
beach provides a spectacular backdrop for your happy event.
Zen Garden - Nestled among the soaring Jamaican coconut palms, our lush Zen Garden offers a private oasis in
which to hold your ceremony. Rock pools and oriental-style foliage abound in this secluded garden location.
Palapa Point - Imagine a tropical version of the traditional wedding chapel. Our Palapa Point is a thatched-roof
gazebo overlooking the northern edge of the Island. This is also a wonderful location for a completely private
dinner for two after the ceremony.
Sunset Dock - If your dream is to walk down the aisle that stretches out over the warm, blue waters of the Atlantic,
our Sunset Dock is the perfect location for you. This pier faces west, making it ideal for viewing our spectacular
sunsets. Our Sunset Dock is recommended for those who desire a long traditional aisle with seating on either side
for wedding guests.
Details, Details, Details!
Selecting Your Date - Weddings are performed for registered suite guests only. Please note that certain minimum
lengths of stays are required at various times of the year. Please check availability of your preferred wedding date
with our wedding coordinator as we only accommodate one ceremony per day. We regret that we cannot perform
wedding ceremonies on most holidays, including New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day.
Site Inspections - Site inspections are available and must be scheduled in advance.
Deposit and Payment - In order to reserve your preferred wedding date, we require a non-refundable advance
deposit. This deposit is in addition to the advance deposit required to reserve your suite.
Children - We welcome young adults age 16 years and older, and we regret that exceptions for younger guests
cannot be made. However, if your group reserves the entire Island exclusively, children of all ages are welcome.
(Please note that we require a 3-night minimum stay if reserving the entire Island.)
Guests - To preserve the romantic ambiance of the Island, we limit the number of guests attending ceremonies and
dining functions. Ask our wedding coordinator for specific guidelines pertaining to your chosen date. In general,
you may have up to a total of 40 guests, maximum. (If you have more that 40 guests we would ask that you reserve
the entire island.) Please keep in mind that we will have to arrange a special boat to transfer your party to and from
the resort at a cost of $400 round-trip if you have more than twelve guests attending the event who are not staying at
Little Palm Island.
Florida Marriage License Requirements - Couples wishing to be married in Florida must obtain a license at any
County Clerk's Office within the state. No blood test is required. A waiting period of three days applies to Florida
residents; however, there is no waiting period for our out of state guests. Proper identification is necessary, such as
a valid Driver's License or Passport. Copies of applicable divorce decrees are required. Both the Bride and Groom
must be present to obtain the license. Current fees for a marriage license are $93 and are subject to change without
notice. The Monroe County Clerk's Offices are open Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, excluding holidays.
Your license will be issued immediately and must be used within 60 days. More information may be obtained from
the Monroe County Clerk's Offices - Key West 305-294-4641 or Marathon 305-289-6027. If you would prefer to
acquire your marriage license through the mail in advance at an extra fee, please contact our wedding coordinator at
least eight weeks prior to the wedding date for information regarding an agency authorized to assist you with this
process.
Officiants - Little Palm Island can provide a Notary Public or an Ordained Interfaith Minister to perform your
ceremony. Alternatively, you may arrange to have your own minister, priest or rabbi conduct the service. Services
of our Official are included in the cost of our wedding packages whether or not you choose to use this option. If you
require a member of clergy from one particular faith or denomination, we regret that we are unable to book these
Officials for you. You are welcome to bring your own person to perform your ceremony, or to ask our wedding
coordinator for telephone numbers of local clergy, rabbis, etc.
Flowers
Bouquets and boutonnieres are always available with advance notice. We do not have one or two "standard"
bouquets, as we endeavor to work with each couple's individual tastes. Some brides wish to send us pictures from
magazines of bouquets they like. In that instance, our florist will create arrangements to match the pictures
provided. Alternatively, use these tips to decide upon flowers that are right for you!
Remember that Little Palm Island is a lush, tropical location. It is not as necessary to spend a great deal of money
on flower arrangements, as it would be if your event were being held in an indoor banqueting hall. Many couples
find that a simple bridal bouquet and boutonniere are all they need. We can, of course, supply any other
arrangements you require.
Color Schemes - These days, nearly anything goes. Although white is still very popular for wedding arrangements,
flowers in bright shades can be breathtaking. Make sure the flowers you order match the colors of your outfits.
Once the bridal bouquet's theme has been decided, the other flowers should be made to complement the color and
style scheme.
Varieties of Flowers - Traditional American bouquets and boutonnieres often consist of flowers such as roses. In
the Islands, you will usually see tropical arrangements of orchids and/or lilies. Either style is readily available and
suitable for your wedding in Paradise. Can't decide between traditional and tropical? Why not have a bouquet with
a mixture of tropical flowers and small ivory roses? One word of advice…if your wedding is during the warmer
months of the year, avoid gardenias, lily of the valley, and wildflowers. They tend to wilt quickly in heat and
humidity. Other popular flowers such as peonies and tulips are seasonal and usually are not available in the summer
or fall.
Prices - Unless the variety of flowers you select is out of season or otherwise extremely expensive or difficult to
obtain in South Florida, the bouquet and boutonniere of your choice will be included with your wedding package (if
applicable package is selected.) Your wedding coordinator will advise you if a surcharge would apply to any
selection made, and offer you more reasonably priced alternatives upon request.
Bouquets - If you are custom making a wedding package, or adding additional arrangements to an existing package,
use this information to choose the type of bouquet that is right for you. Bridal bouquets typically cost between $175
and up. Maid of honor and bridesmaids' bouquets are $125 and up. The most popular bouquet styles include:
A) Cascade- A waterfall-like "spill" of blooms and greenery that's anchored in a hand-held base. Trailing ivy and
miniature orchids do well with this style bouquet.
B) Classic Hand-Tied Bouquet- A dense bunch of blooms with or without greenery, hand tied with satin or lace ribbon.
C) Presentation- Also known as the "Pageant" bouquet, this is a bunch of long-stemmed flowers, usually of one variety
such as Calla Lilies, cradled in the bride's arms, wrapped tightly with ribbon.
Boutonnieres - A single bloom or bud (or several small buds) attached to the left lapel of the jacket, or to the shirt.
Boutonnieres can be worn by Grooms, Groomsmen, and the Bride's and Groom's fathers. Boutonnieres are very
reasonably priced at approximately $35 each.
Corsages - Single blooms or clusters of blooms arranged in pin-on or wrist styles and are typically worn by mothers
and grandmothers. Price range $75 and up.
Floral Wreath - A ring of flowers that functions as a headpiece for the Bride's or bridesmaid's hair: $100 and up.
Flower Covered Arch or Trellis - A white lattice archway decorated with flowing organza fabric and/or flowers:
$350 and up.
Centerpieces - Reception table floral centerpieces $125 and up.
Rose Petals - For tossing or scattering down the aisle, approximately $120 per bag.
Please note that 7.5-percent tax and 10-percent service will be charged to your flower selections.
Photography Packages
Relive the memorable moments of your wedding day for many years to come through artistically shot photographs,
videos and DVD's. Regardless of whether you are eloping by yourselves or celebrating with your friends and family,
professional photography and videography preserve the memories of your special day. Linger over all the delightful
moments you may have missed, how great you both looked and how spectacular the sunset was.
Little Palm Island offers the services of the very best in the business with many years of wedding experience and
several years of experience shooting at Little Palm Island. They know the most picturesque spots on the Island to
shoot, and what to do to capture the excitement and beauty of your wedding day.
Remember that your wedding photographs, videos and DVD's are a once in a lifetime opportunity to capture the
images of the most important day of your life!
We have negotiated special rates for our guests' photography packages. You are paying for the photographer's time
at your wedding, hours spent developing and digitally editing your pictures, and the finished product—the prints
and/or albums you order and custom private internet slideshows.
We have often been asked if we can get a professional photographer to take just a couple of snapshots at a wedding.
There is a minimum of one hour or sixty-five photographs. After all, most people only like one out of every three or
four pictures they see of themselves!
If you have chosen the Swaying Palm Package or the Enchanted Isle Package, you will receive Photography
Package #1. Please be advised that we strongly recommend you upgrade to a larger photography package if you are
having 12 or more guests in your group. This is because the smaller packages do not allow for many group
photographs in addition to the pictures of the Bride and Groom. If you do decide to upgrade the photography
package included in your wedding, the difference between the two photography prices will be added to your
standard wedding package fee.

Photography Notes - Most professional photographers throughout the industry retain their negatives and will not
sell them. We have negotiated with our photographers, as a special service to our guests, for the negatives to be
made available. All of our photography packages actually include the negatives. Please contact our wedding
coordinator directly if you require further information about the photography.
Videography Packages
We have negotiated special rates for our guests' videography packages. You are paying for the videographer's time
at your wedding, hours spent in the studio digitally editing the footage, CD quality audio and music as well as the
finished product--the DVD's, your personal website, the archived digital Master program tape and Master DVD.
If you have chosen the Enchanted Isle Package, you will receive Videography Package #1. Please be advised that we
strongly recommend you upgrade to a larger videography package if you are having 12 or more guests in your
group. This is because the smaller package does not allow for much group footage in addition to the footage of the
Bride and Groom. If you do decide to upgrade the videography package included in your wedding, the difference
between the two videography prices will be added to your standard wedding package fee.

Optional Videography Services - Photo Montage digitally edited to music at the beginning of your wedding video
of up to 30 childhood and couple photos, certificates, wedding invitation or other images that are special
significance to you. $200, plus 7.5 percent tax and 10 percent service.
Additional DVD Copies- Your wedding video in personalized bridal packaging is a wonderful thank you gift for
family and friends. We recommend you order when you book your videography package. Price available upon
request.
Videography Notes - Most professional videographers throughout the industry keep their edited master program
tape and will not sell them. We have negotiated with our videographers, as a special service to our guests, for the
master tape to be included in all of our videography packages.
Please contact our Wedding Coordinator directly if you require further information about the videography packages
and/or samples of the videographer's work in DVD form.
Wedding Cakes
Little Palm Island's talented team of pastry chefs will create the wedding cake of your dreams! Typically, cakes for
fewer than 10 guests are one tier, and cakes for more than 10 guests are two or three tiers. Unless otherwise
requested, the cakes will be garnished with the chef's choice of fresh, tropical flowers.
In the United States, wedding cakes are traditionally a vanilla flavor. That does not mean, however, that your cake
must be vanilla if you would prefer something else. In addition to classic vanilla, we are happy to offer you the
following choices at no extra cost.
Vanilla, Strawberry, Champagne Cake - Vanilla cake baked with a vanilla and Champagne syrup, layered with
sliced fresh strawberries and a vanilla butter cream filling, decorated with white icing.
Hazelnut, Praline Cake - White cake genoise with a hazelnut praline filling and praline butter cream icing.
White Chocolate Cake - White chocolate cake with Amaretto genoise, white chocolate butter cream filling with a
layer of toasted almonds and white butter cream icing.
Vanilla Passion Fruit Cake - Light white vanilla cake layered with a passion fruit butter cream filling, decorated
with white icing.
Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Cake - Rich dark chocolate genoise, layered with a raspberry puree, decorated
with white icing.
Little Palm Island Key Lime Cake - White cake genoise with Key Lime Essence, layered with a Key Lime butter
cream filling, decorated with white icing.
Wedding Cheesecake - Rich and creamy New York style cheesecake, decorated with light butter cream piping to
look like traditional wedding cake. A great alternative!
Notes - Cakes included in the wedding packages are for two persons. Each additional portion costs $20. If custom
making a wedding package, the base cake for two costs $75.
"Genoise" refers to cake that is prepared with simple syrup and/or liquor.
Prices include tropical flower garnishes for the wedding cake. Any other garnishes required will be charged
accordingly. If you wish to have the same flowers on your wedding cake as used in the bridal bouquet, these
flowers must be ordered at the same time as your other flowers and will be priced as advised by the florist.
Icing - Cakes of any flavor (with the exception of the cheesecake) will be decorated with the chef's choice of white
icing. If you would prefer to decide in advance the style of icing used to decorate your wedding cake, you may
choose from the following flavors or styles:
Buttercream - A smooth, creamy icing that stays soft so it's easy to cut through. It can be flavored upon request.
As its name implies, it is made from butter, and can be used to create piping and other borders.
Fondant - A sweet, elastic icing made of sugar, corn syrup, and gelatin that's literally rolled out with a rolling pin
and draped over a cake. It's a smooth, firm finish, and an ideal base for specialty decorations.
Banqueting and Receptions
Little Palm Island's chefs are highly acclaimed, and will work with your needs to create the reception of your
dreams.
If there are fewer than fifteen people in your party, you may simply dine off the a la carte menu. If there are fifteen
or more in your group, a pre-set menu must be arranged. Several sample banqueting menus, including pricing, are
included in the latter portion of this Personal Wedding Planner.
Tables on the beach itself are very romantic and must be booked in advance; however, they can only be used for six
or fewer guests. Our Atlantic Deck, a beautiful open-air veranda adjoining the dining room, overlooking our south
beach and Atlantic Ocean, is the perfect location for your larger reception. Seating plans can be arranged with our
dining room manager.
Weather
The Lower Keys have never seen frost, and we have more sunny days than any other place in the country, except the
desert cities of Phoenix, El Paso, and Reno. Our daily average year-round temperature is 76.8 degrees. This guide

Music and Entertainment
Many couples do not find it necessary to hire musicians for their wedding, as the tropical island atmosphere is very
different to holding your event in an empty building or banqueting hall. There will generally be beautiful sounds of
nature surrounding you, such as the water gently lapping against the shore and the birds singing in the trees. If you
do wish to arrange for music during your ceremony, however, the following options are offered, subject to
availability:

These prices are for music immediately before, during and after the wedding ceremony, approximately 45 minutes.
Music prices are subject to change. Please book your wedding music at least six weeks in advance.
All music for reception events must be arranged through Little Palm Island. We do not employ "disc jockeys." We
arrange live music as entertainment, and unless your group has reserved all of the accommodations on the entire
island, musical entertainment has to finish by 10:30pm. This is in order to preserve the romantic, peaceful ambiance
for the other guests staying at the resort. If you would like to arrange for a musician or band to play especially for
your reception, please advise your wedding coordinator 6 - 12 weeks in advance. Little Palm Island's Director of
Music will contact you to discuss your requirements. Prices vary according to your requirements.

General Catering Information
Our Catering Department is delighted to present the following catering selections. We hope that these carefully
prepared menus and beverage suggestions are helpful to you in planning your upcoming function. However, our
international team of culinary professionals is happy to prepare a custom menu if you so desire.
The following information will help you to plan that successful event.
Dining Options
Any group of 15 or more guests must select from a set menu. When choosing a plated dinner for a party of 20 or
more, please advise our wedding coordinator at least one week in advance the number of guests selecting each of
your two chosen entrees. Buffets are offered for parties with at least 20 guests in attendance.
Meal Guarantee
A meal guarantee is required by 12:00 noon seventy-two (72) hours prior to your function. The resort will
accommodate for service up to 5-percent over and above the guarantee (provided you do not exceed our forty person
limit.) If the number of guests falls below the meal guarantee, the host is responsible for the number guaranteed.
Payment Terms
A 50-percent deposit is required on all functions when the contract is signed and accepted by the Resort. Should it
be necessary for you to cancel this function after the contract has been signed, the Resort will be entitled to food and
beverage damages due at the time of cancellation based on the following scale:
7 to 30 days prior to the scheduled date: An amount equal to 33-percent of the estimated food and
beverage, based on the actual guest count for your function.
1 to 7 days before the scheduled date: An amount of 66-percent of the estimated food and beverage based
on the actual guest count for your function.
In the event that a Hurricane Watch or Hurricane Warning is issued for Monroe County (Florida Keys) at the same
time that your event is scheduled, this agreement may be terminated by either party and the deposit money will be
refunded.
Decorations
White linen is provided at no charge for your catered function. Personalized champagne flutes are available for a
fee with advance notice.
Signs and Displays
No signs, banners, or displays shall be erected or displayed in any part of the Resort without the approval of the
Catering office. The Resort will not permit the affixing of anything to the walls, floors, windows, trees, or ceilings
throughout the property.
Shipments
Shipments may be delivered to the Resort a maximum of three business days prior to the date of the function.
Approval is required when packages, boxes and/or equipment exceed 200 pounds. Off-premises storage and
transportation at the clients' expense may be required.
Service Charge and Sales Tax
A 20-percent service charge and current tax rate of 7.5-percent are added to all food and beverage charges. Note
that the service charge is taxable, and food and beverage prices are subject to change without notice.
Outdoor Functions
The Resort reserves the right to make the final decision to use indoor facilities in case of inclement weather on the
